I am African, with quite a light-skinned complexion. I have suffered from acne in the past and would like to have much clearer skin. What procedures would you recommend?
Light-skinned Africans often have problems with pigmented scarring which gives an uneven skin tone. This responds very well to the Obagi Nuderm system. This is a 12-16 week skin restructuring programme, prescription only, applying products at home with regular monitoring in clinic. I have had some fantastic results and my patients find it very easy to use and, as a side effect, it does away with fine lines, wrinkles and open pores. For less severe cases, a course of deep microdermabrasion & skin feeding will help.
