I have been approved for a breast reduction via the NHS but am concerned that my breasts are not large enough. I am a 34G. Do you have any experience of performing a reduction on breasts this size and if so what size was the patient post op?

The indications for breast reduction surgery in the NHS depend on region to region. Some Primary Care Trusts insist that such surgery is to be carried out only on patients in whom it is expected that 500g of tissue is to be excised.

I have carried out breast reduction surgery on patients similar to you and satisfactory results have been achieved. The procedure not only involves reduction of breast tissue but also repositioning of the nipple areola complex to a higher more aesthetic level.

It is difficult to predict post-operative size following such surgery, as the measurement of bra cup size is not an exact science. There are many studies that show that most women are measured incorrectly even by trained staff in department stores.
