You will be
pleased to hear that
most surgeons
perfoming
rhinoplasty in the
UK will ususally operate on people of differing ethnicity.
A long, overprojected nose is a common problem that rhinoplasty surgeons have to deal with
in patients of all ethnicity and
this can be discussed at your consultation.
Management of a bulbous tip maybe more difficult if you are of Afro-Caribbean origin (or indead a man!). This is because tip definition depends to a certain extent on the thickness of the overlying skin.
Persons with thick skin at the tip of the nose, will not be able to get a thin nicely defined tip beause the skin will hide the cartilagenous shape beneath.
A consultation with an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon should provide you with a a guide to what can be achieved with surgery and also the limitations
of rhinoplasty in your individual case.
