The Vaser Lipo System – we give you the inside track on the world’s most advanced form of fat removal
With patients wanting less invasive procedures, with less downtime but still maintaining the highest level of results, the Vaser Lipo System is the answer to their needs. Safer, quicker, less invasive, less traumatic to the body and less downtime but amazingly the results achieved are better than ever possible before.
So what is Vaser Lipo?
Vaser Lipo is the new revolution in fat removal and body sculpting, the third generation technology in the ultrasound assisted liposuction procedure which was created by Sound Surgical Technologies in the USA.
The first thing you notice is the title. Liposelection as opposed to liposuction and that is because that is just what it is… selection. The patented Vaser third generation ultrasound technology is able to isolate solely fat cells and not the surrounding tissues so when extracted it is the selected fat cells and only these cells that are removed.
How is Vaser Lipo different to the traditional liposuction procedure?
Its main difference is that it is able to remove fat and only fat. Fluids are infused into the target area and the system then selectively emulsifies the fatty tissues.
Vaser energy targets fat, leaving as much of the remaining tissue matrix as intact as possible (which means there is optimal post op skin retraction). The next step is to then gently aspirate the emulsified tissue so we are no onger removing solid fat but fat in a liquid form. Because of this and because of the precision, far less power is needed to emulsify the fat therefore it is not as harsh on the body – both the emulsification and aspiration are extremely gentle.
What areas of the body can be operated on?
Any area of the body can be targeted, that is the beauty of this revolutionary procedure. And, what is more, because the technology was derived rom that used in the treatment of brain tumours it is far less traumatic.
The areas most commonly requested are the inner thigh, outer thigh, flanks (lower back), back (mid section), upper back (lower neck, top of spine), the lower and upper abdomen, buttocks (lower bottom, top of thigh), knees, the chin/neck, chest, arms and calves.
Is it painful?
Because of the emulsification there is less suction – this means less damage/trauma to the surrounding tissues. This coupled with the fact that the substance being removed is now a liquid (due to the liquids infused at the start of the operation) means that pain is kept to a minimum. There is much less post operative discomfort due to the technique and the factors mentioned above. Obviously pain is specific to individuals and therefore does vary with each patient, but in many cases patients have required none or minimal pain medication after the operation.
What are the recovery times?
After the operation the patient will remain at the clinic for a further two hours to allow us to monitor their progress. The patient wears a compression garment for a week or two, and may feel slightly tender. Bruising and swelling varies from patient to patient, but rarely occurs for longer than a few weeks. The recovery time for Lipo varies with the extensiveness of the procedure – the amount of fat removed and the number of sites treated.
The next stage
Ever wanted a perfect sixpack? This is now possible with the launch of Vaser High Definition which is now available in the UK. Vaser High Def is the future of body contouring and represents the most advanced form of body sculpting available ever.
High Definition takes the Vaser technology to the next level. Using the gentler, safer and more selective Vaser technology the High Def procedure allows the surgeon to remove fat closer to the muscle than ever before therefore enabling them to reveal those elusive abdominal muscles we all have and all want to be seen.
