What prompted you to have your breasts enhanced with Macrolane?

I had just gone through a traumatic divorce and there were some hurtful comments made and I felt very down on my body. I had always been very slim and was a 32B but after the divorce I lost weight and was a 32AA. I did look at implants but I didn't want to go under the knife and also I was very worried about a boob job looking false. Then I heard about Macrolane and decided to do more research.

Who carried out the procedure and what was their opinion at the consultation?

I had a consultation with Dr Hugo Kitchen of Stratford Dermatherapy Clinic. He explained very thoroughly what Macrolane was, what he could achieve and how long the effects would last. What was very attractive to me was that I could go back to work straightaway. I run my own business and didn't want to take a massive amount of time out. Hugo was lovely and put me at me ease straightaway. Before deciding on Macrolane, I had gone for a few consultations with surgeons regarding breast implants but I had an instant rapport with Hugo and I felt I could put my trust in him which is the most important thing about the consultation.

How was the experience?

I arrived and was briefed by Hugo. The clinic had a very sterile environment and Hugo was gowned up. I just took off my top and Hugo took some photographs and my measurements. I then had an anaesthetic injection.

How long did it take?

The whole process took about an hour from start to finish. This was one of the major advantages of the procedure - it had little impact on my busy schedule.

How many injections did you have?

One injection of 100 ml in each breast. Once it was injected, Hugo manipulated the fluid to ensure it was distributed nice and evenly.

Did you have to take any medication after it was done?

Hugo gave me some painkillers to take that night and the next day. I did take some the night of the procedure but after that I didn't need any more. There was a little bit of soreness but it was nothing to say having a filling at the dentist.

What were the immediate results?

There was definitely more fullness and cleavage. Basically when I went in I didn't have a bust and when I left I  had one! I went up to a 34C. Now I have a shape and I've enjoyed buying new bras. It is like if you lose weight and can finally buy the clothes you want, knowing they will fit. It was the same for me - now I knew I could actually fill bras and that was a great thrill.

I hadn't told many people and although some of my friends could tell, most people haven't been able to put a finger on why I look different, they just say I'm looking really well. I go to the gym and play a lot of sports and within five to six days I was back at the gym whereas after breast implants you are advised not to take part in sport for up to six weeks.

Are you happy with the treatment?

I am very happy with the treatment. It has boosted my confidence massively. I can wear the tops and dresses that I wore before but now they look so much better. My breasts look and feel very natural.

Would you have it repeated?

Yes, without a doubt, I will be back again.
