What made you decide to have the procedure?

I've got two kids and lead quite an active life; every day I walk briskly for over an hour to and from their school. I eat sensibly, with no snacks or cheating, and I felt I had tried everything to shift the fat from my waist and the top of my buttocks. But nothing ever worked and my appearance was really getting me down.

Then I read a magazine article which featured Dr Berkowitz and his latest Vaser procedure. He came across so well as a knowledgeable and warm person that I felt he would be the right doctor for me to approach. When I met him for the first consultation, I knew he was the right one, from the way he spoke to me - very kind and respectful - and from his thorough explanation, which helped to prepare me well for the procedure.

How was the experience?

I arrived at his clinic feeling very scared, with my heart beating like mad! Dr Josh and his wonderful assistant Elizabeth both took the time to reassure me and explain everything again. There was no feeling of being rushed and I experienced no pain or discomfort at all, thanks to Dr Josh's prescription.

How long before you were home?

I went home the same afternoon, as soon as I felt ready. The next day I walked to and from my kids' school as usual, and I felt completely fine. I didn't even need to take any more of the prescribed painkillers.

How soon did you see results?

There was a little bit of swelling for the first four days, all of which had been explained to me so I was expecting it, and after that I really saw great results. For the first time in years my trousers are very loose!

Are you happy with the results?

Actually, I'm more than happy; I'm delighted. I used to feel fat and always hid my body shape with loose tops and baggy cardigans. Now I'm enjoying showing off my new slimmer shape with jeans and fashionable little tops.

Will you have any more treatments?

Yes, now I've seen what Dr Berkowitz and Wimpole Aesthetic Centre can do for me, I'm planning to have Vaser again to remove some stubborn pockets of fat on my back. I can't wait!
