What prompted you to have the treatment?

Since 2002 I have been having a fat transfer filler in the mid-face done once a year and I was very happy with the results and that it lasted the year. However, this April, due to circumstances, I decided to try Teosyal Ultimate.

Who carried out the procedure and what was their opinion at the consultation?

Dr Saleh always tries new treatments on his staff before offering it to patients. I had learnt a lot about the product so felt I trusted it and the manufacturers on their safety record. I also trusted Dr Saleh both on technique and in choice of product as I knew he would never use any product that he wasn't 100 per cent confident in.

How was the experience?

I had the treatment in April 2009 and I've been really happy with it. It did exactly what I wanted it to do in that it filled out the areas that needed filling - the cheeks, the lower cheeks, the naso-labial folds and the jaw area.

As I'm older I tend to bruise and it took me about a week to recover from the bruising. There wasn't very much swelling at all. In fact, it took longer to recover from the fat transfer filler that I usually have than the Teosyal Ultimate.

How long did it take?

From the consultation process through the injection procedure it took about an hour. Dr Saleh always treats his staff exactly as he would treat his patients so we discussed the procedure and then he marked up the areas that would be injected. Then anaesthetic cream was applied which takes 20 minutes to work.

Did you have to take any medication after it was done?

All I used was an anti-bruising cream - vitamin K - which I applied before and after the procedure.

What were the immediate results?

There was some bruising but hardly any swelling so straightaway I could see the results. The swelling was mainly due to the anaesthetic cream rather than the filler so by the next day, once my body had got rid of the anaesthetic, I could see how it would look.

Are you happy with the treatment?

I am really pleased with the treatment - with older skin you need the extra help. I would be happy to have the treatment again.

After many years working for a very large cosmetic surgery company where he developed non-surgical treatments as alternatives to facial cosmetic surgery, Dr Roy Saleh now runs his own aesthetic clinic, specializing in rejuvenating the female face.

"Lyn was upset because her best friend had said she was looking older. This may have been because she had recently lost weight. After middle age, weight loss manifests itself in hollow cheeks, deep nose to mouth lines, loose irregular jaw line and lines around the mouth.

I consulted her and suggested that she would benefit from a new dermal filler, Teosyal Ultimate. This is a new stronger, yet smooth, pure hyaluronic acid which is available in 3ml syringes. After consideration, she agreed that this would be the best treatment plan for her.

The treatment was performed using local anaesthetic and two syringes of Teosyal Ultimate were used. This was injected into the cheek bone area, cheek hollows, naso-labial folds, marionette lines and along the jaw line.
The treatment took about one hour to complete and she was delighted with the immediate effect."
