What prompted you to have the treatment?

I had been concerned about the appearance of my deepening facial lines since the age of 40 and, in particular, I had deep nasolabial lines which I wanted to soften.

I work with celebrities so my job is very image conscious and my clients are putting themselves in my hands to transform them - if I'm not confident about myself then I can't fill them with confidence. I also spend all day in front of a mirror so I couldn't avoid focusing on my face constantly.

Who carried out the procedure and what was their opinion at the consultation?

Mr Geoffrey Mullan of Medicetics carried out the procedure. I talked to him about the areas I felt would benefit from treatment but he actually recommended more than I had thought was necessary. The nasolabial lines, in particular, needed quite a lot of treatment - even as a teenager they were very deep - and that has produced the most dramatic results.

How was the experience?

I enjoyed the whole thing. In certain places it was a little bit uncomfortable but I wouldn't call it painful. I had a dental block for the nasolabial lines because Mr Mullan went quite deep initially then followed that with more superficial injections.

How long did it take?

The entire treatment took about 45 minutes to one hour - we did lots of chatting which put me at my ease.

Did you have to take any medication after it was done?

No. There was very little discomfort or pain, which I was really surprised about.

What were the immediate results?

The results were immediate, and my first reaction was ‘wow'. There was a little bit of swelling which settled down after the first week or two. 

I had a crease in my right nostril that had been left after surgery and Mr Mullan was able to fill in the indentation which I thought was amazing. This should probably last quite a long time as it is not a mobile area of the face.

Are you happy with the treatment?

I am extremely happy with the treatment and incredibly impressed at what can be achieved with just a few injections. I was even mistaken for my sister's son recently, which I was delighted by, even if my sister wasn't!
