The experts at Ericson Laboratoire have utilised the power of milk in an innovative skincare cocktail that promises to nourish, regenerate and rejuvenate and eradicate the signs of ageing

Predating Cleopatra and her milk baths, the properties of milk have long been harnessed as a beauty aid. Still today, while cosmetic active ingredients are becoming increasingly sophisticated, milk remains an essential cosmetic ingredient. Its unique protein composition means it compensates for the skin's nutrient deficiencies, helps stimulate its cellular activity and protects it from premature ageing.

Today, cosmetics and nutrition have become interrelated on many levels. The borders between these two worlds have been broken down as it becomes increasingly obvious that you must nourish your skin on the inside for results on the outside.

Researchers at Ericson Laboratoire drew inspiration from this concept to develop VIVAMILK, a new milk-based skincare line that draws on all the nutritional benefits of milk to help restore balance to the skin and preserve its youthful appearance.

Lactolan is an active ingredient composed of cattle-derived milk proteins and a combination of complementary nutrients (lactose, lactic acid, mineral salts and trace elements). Lactolan provides the skin with all the renowned benefits of milk, due to its rich content of nutri-ingredients that give it its hydrating, nourishing and firming properties.

It treats dry and rough skin lacking comfort and radiance and tired skin lacking tone and vitality. Furthermore, the creams in the range are formulated with four plant milks which assist them in adapting to different skin deficiencies.

When you were younger your mother probably told you to drink up you milk to keep you healthy... now the same principle applies to your skin.

Cotton milk... for nutrition
Cotton milk is very rich in fatty acids such as Omega-6 and Omega-9; these help to limit the skin's water loss, while offering softening and nourishing properties.

Jasmine milk... for soothing
Jasmine milk is rich in essential oils with soothing, relaxing and revitalising properties. It also contains ursolic acid, endowed with a powerful anti-inflammatory effect so it is ideal for dry, sensitive and irritated skin. It also has natural astringent and antiseptic properties.

Iris milk... for radiance
Iris milk is particularly adapted to oil-prone combination skin. It has a high amount of tannins and xanthones, which give it astringent and purifying properties. It has gentle exfoliating and brightening action due to its concentration of vitamin C, so it is perfectly suited for dull complexions suffering from pollution, stress and fatigue.

Almond milk... for vitality
Naturally rich in vitamins A and E and boasting powerful antioxidant properties, almond milk neutralises free radicals and prevents damage caused by oxidation of the cell membranes. The skin is thus protected from premature ageing.

Cocktail of benefits
Ericson Laboratoire has also developed four prolactic serums which can be combined with any of the milk creams to enhance their effectiveness. Your trained practitioner will diagnose your skin's deficiencies and provide a personalised milk-based skincare product.

Pro-Oglio Serum
Remineralises, restructures and firms tired skin. Enriched with mineral active ingredients - zinc, copper, magnesium, manganese and sodium - this serum provides the elements required to restore cellular energy.

Pro-Omega Serum
Nourishes, regenerates and reduces skin stress. Containing essential fatty acids this serum helps strengthen the skin's barrier function and help protect the skin against environmental stress, responsible for its premature ageing.

Pro-Vitamin Serum
Stimulates, tones and fights free radicals. A toning serum to revitalise tired skin, it contains revitalising extracts of ginseng and ginger and also contains a cocktail of fruit extracts (blood orange, lemon and tomato) rich in vitamin C.

Pro-Biotic Serum
Detoxifies, strengthens and restores the skin's microflora. This serum is enriched with a pre- and pro-biotic complex, which helps to reconstitute the skin's natural flora in the same way as dairy products do in the intestinal flora.
