Thermage and Fraxel are two of the most up-to-date treatments on the market. Individually, they are producing amazing results for patients, but it’s together that the magic happens

Thermage and Fraxel bring out the best in each other. This non-surgical treatment sequence is your skin´s best friend for total rejuvenation. The combined treatments correct the most significant signs of ageing: sagging skin, wrinkles, texture and pigmentation.

Leading cosmetic doctor Rita Rakus, who is known as the ‘London Lip Queen’, has been offering these treatments in her Knightsbridge clinic for a while and is amazed at the results that can be achieved when they are used in combination:

“Thermage and Fraxel can transform the skin leaving it smoother, even-toned and firmer – it takes a little bit of help to get the skin you’ve always dreamed of. These treatments are very effective and long-lasting.”

What is Fraxel?

Fraxel is a revolutionary laser treatment that removes sun damage, wrinkles or other signs of the ageing process. And now it just got better.

The innovative Fraxel re:store Dual Wavelength System represents a breakthrough in skin resurfacing technology with the addition of its new laser wavelength that treats pigmentation and the signs of ageing with minimal discomfort and less downtime.

It is the only fractional laser system that safely penetrates the skin down to the dermis without breaking the skin’s protective outer barrier.

What is Thermage?

Thermage uses unique radiofrequency (RF) technology to safely heat the deep layers of your skin, while cooling the surface of your skin to keep it intact during the procedure.

This deep heating stimulates your body’s natural skin renewal process, which helps tighten existing collagen and form new collagen. Over time, sagging or wrinkled skin is replaced with smoother, tighter skin; improved tone and texture and an overall younger looking appearance.

There have also been advances in the science behind Thermage with the recent release of Comfort Pulse Technology, which along with the new vibrating handpiece means improved effcacy and enhanced patient comfort.

Previously, patients were given medication to ease the discomfort associated with the procedure, but this is no longer necessary.

Thermage + Fraxel

Together, Thermage and Fraxel can tackle all the different signs of ageing – they reduce lines and wrinkles, redefine contours and tighten, improve tone and texture, renew collagen, erase age or sun spots and improve the appearance of acne scarring.

Dr Rita Rakus explains how it works: “First of all we treat the patient with the Thermage. Radiofrequency energy is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin and, as well as stimulating new collagen, you get the amazing tightening effect of Thermage. The Fraxel laser then works on the outside. It resurfaces the outer skin layers to leave you with smooth, clear skin.

They work well together because they are effective – Thermage plus Fraxel really are your skin’s best friends!”
