After experiencing the dramatic weight loss that Alizonne Therapy offers firsthand, Dr Dinesh Maini felt he had to offer it to his patients. But it was when he started combining it with the BodyTite procedure that things started to get really interesting...
I myself started on Alizonne Therapy in January this year, having tried every diet imaginable. I was desperate to lose some weight and willing to try anything, so when I saw Alizonne mentioned in a magazine it really sparked my interest.
The thing that really amazed me about Alizonne, as a patient, was that every other diet I had tried had made me feel awful for the first two weeks, but with Alizonne I felt really well from day one.
Over three months I lost four stone, and by that time I was so impressed that I went to the head office in Holland and got trained up in order to be able to offer the therapy at my clinic.
When you start on Alizonne, we first assess your metabolic rate and find out where you store fat, and what kind of fat it is. This allows us to tailor the programme to meet your needs.
Alizonne isn’t just a diet plan, it’s a complete therapy, and it’s worked out very scientifically so you get exactly the right amount of food that you as an individual need to stop you getting hungry, and every single vitamin, mineral and trace element that you require is included.
Your meal plan is provided in sachets, which you can use to make bread, pasta, pizza, desserts – there’s a lot of choice. It is hard to stick to initially, because it’s a lifestyle change, but once the weight starts to come off and you realise how good Alizonne is making you feel, it’s a breeze.
You come back to the clinic every week for a check-up, when ultrasound treatments are given to break down fat and Alizonne Skin Therapy is carried out to help prevent loose skin, which is often a problem after extreme weight loss.
Those weekly appointments also allow us to monitor how well you are following your diet plan – the initial calculations are worked out so precisely that we are able to predict quite accurately how much weight you will lose each week, and if you haven’t lost weight then we know you’ve been cheating.
The other thing that really makes Alizonne stand out from other weight loss methods is its stabilisation and maintenanceprogramme. Once you have reached your target weight, we don’t just abandon you to go back to your old eating habits.
We start by working out a plan to slowly reintroduce normal foods into your diet, and then we ask you to come back to the clinic once a month for the next two years, allowing us to continue giving you accurate nutritional advice.
And let’s face it – you’re far less likely to slip up if you know you’re going back to see the doctor in a month’s time!
BodyTite is a revolutionary new radiofrequency-assisted liposuction device, which is far superior to anything I have used before. Ours was one of the first clinics in the UK to offer SmartLipo, which was a very good system in its time, but technology has come a long way since then.
The beauty of BodyTite is that it tightens skin at the same time as removing fat. The results can be seen immediately, and continue to improve over time – I really believe that this machine could spell the end for conventional liposuction, because it is a minimally invasive procedure with minimal downtime, and it offers spectacular results.
Alizonne + BodyTite
Alizonne incorporates a skin tightening element, which is very good, and the weekly ultrasound treatments do break down fat.
However, we’ve found that the sticking point with any weight loss programme is that subcutaneous fat – the fat that’s just under the skin – isn’t broken down very easily, so you can lose five stone, but you’re still left with seven or eight pounds of subcutaneous fat on your stomach.
That can be quite demotivating, so I thought it would be interesting to try using BodyTite to remove that fat before embarking on the Alizonne treatment, in order to avoid that eventuality.
I didn’t expect the use of BodyTite to have any particular effect on the Alizonne Therapy itself, but when we tried it, we found that those patients who had undergone BodyTite prior to commencing the programme had a greatly accelerated weight loss compared to those on Alizonne alone.
Not only were they losing weight more quickly, but they were finding it much easier, which suggests that the subcutaneous fat was holding them back in their previous attempts at weight loss.
They also have much better skin at the end of the programme, because the tightening produced by both Alizonne and BodyTite in combination has quite a dramatic effect.
Like all liposuction techniques, BodyTite is not an alternative to weight loss, so if you are overweight or clinically obese, Alizonne Therapy is the programme for you.
if you have stubborn pockets
of fat as well as excess weight,
it may just be that a BodyTite
procedure prior to commencing
Alizonne could help you reach
your target weight more quickly.
