With over 20 years as a consultant cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon, Richard Matthews is vastly experienced. Within the NHS, he developed and expanded a modern Plastic Surgical Unit to serve the needs of a one million catchment population. In his private practice, just as in the NHS, Richard aims to provide a high quality service, aiming for the standard in every case. Good communication from the initial consultation onwards, high technical skills and vision, and personal attendance throughout are the bedrock principles. The approach is a handson personal involvement from start to finish: this is not ‘production-line' surgery.
