Global healthcare giant Johnson & Johnson has confirmed that it is to launch a new non-invasive anti-wrinkle treatment as it looks to take advantage of the booming demand for anti-ageing procedures.
Coming as Allegran and Scottsdale, the latter the manufacturer of Restylane, unveil new breakthroughs, the firm has announced that its injectable filler, named Evolence, will hit the US market later this month.
The new treatment is aimed at offering patients fuller lips and fighting back against the folds that can often develop between the nose and corners of the mouth, with experts confident that this new product will increase competition in the cosmetics market, to the benefit of consumers.
Commenting on the launch of Evolence, Dr. David Sire of Fullerton told the Californian publication: "It's pretty exciting.
"It's easy to inject, and I've not seen any bruising yet."
According to recent figures from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, some 1.6 million injections of fillers were carried out in the US in 2007.
