Invisalign could cure smile embarrassment RSS Feeds

A non-invasive technique could help thousands of people to improve their smile without the hassle of wearing invasive metal braces.

New research by Invisalign suggests that over 36 per cent of people in the UK are embarrassed by the appearance of their teeth.

Three in ten British people wish that their teeth were straighter and more even and 65 per cent believe that they would be more confident if they had a better smile.

However, Invisalign could change that - and without the discomfort associated with traditional braces.

The technique uses a series of clear plastic aligners which gradually help to move your teeth into place - usually over the same timescale as metal braces.

Dr Paul Humber, of the Hopvine Dental Practice in Soham, Cambridgeshire, revealed: "Straightening your teeth with the Invisalign technique can help you overcome years of embarrassment; by the end of 2009 you could have stuck to a New Year's resolution without even realising it and be the proud owner of that beautiful smile you've always dreamed of."ADNFCR-1732-ID-18803764-ADNFCR
