Anne Robinson Denies Second Facelift RSS Feeds

Created on 01st September 2009

A RobinsonTV presenter Anne Robinson has dismissed claims that she has had a second face lift prior to returning to the consumer show, Watchdog.

Robinson, 64, had a face lift in 2004, claiming that she didn't want to look like her mother. In an interview with the Daily Mail's Weekend magazine she said: 'Watchdog used to be live, and there was a moment at the end where they couldn't get the light to me.

'Afterwards, I'd take a look at the video and it would all be fine, but then I'd suddenly see myself saying, "Goodnight, good evening and thank you for watching Watchdog", but with my mother's face. I'd think, "Oh, dearie me. I need to do something about that."'

However since having the £9,000 face lift 5 years ago, Anne denies that she's had any other plastic surgery other than 6-monthly Botox treatments.

She claims that having further cosmetic surgery and then denying would be unfair to other women of her age. Instead, as she told the Daily Mirror, she puts her youthful looks down to Botox and the fact that she is 'almost religious' about diet and fitness. In the interview she said: 'It wouldn't be fair for other women to wonder how I can look so unlined and they don't. But I'm not in the least bit cross.

'Being photographed with make-up on in a studio can help make you look better than you really are.'

Anne is in good hands with her Botox treatments. Her best friend Pam is married to 'Mr Botox', Dr Nick Lowe - on of the world's leading dermatologists. Apparently she has Botox top-ups whenever he tells her he thinks she should - approximately once every six months - and it's these injections, along with her healthy diet and exercise that contribute towards her youthful appearance.

Despite ruling out another face lift, Anne confesses that she would love to have plastic surgery on her ankles, but admits that the probably can't be fixed.
