boobsWomen wanting to lose some flab and boost their breast size can now rejoice - a new cosmetic surgery procedure promises to boost the bust by taking excess fat from other parts of body - such as the thighs and stomach - and moving it to the breasts.

The new plastic surgery operation works by transferring fat from unwanted areas to the bust in order to create more 'natural' breast enlargements. Surgeons believe that this new procedure will result in a more natural shape and feel than that of a traditional boob job. They also hope that it will remove some problems that can be associated with breast enlargements using implants as these can occasionally harden and sometimes need to be removed.

Mel Braham, chairman of the Harley Medical Group said: 'This is the most exciting breakthrough in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery that I have seen over the last two decades.

'It amounts to two beneficial procedures in one - taking unwanted fat from one or two areas of a patient's body and transferring it to the breast area.'

He believes that this new plastic surgery operation will overtake breast implants in popularity in around 10 years time.

Plastic surgeon Dr Zdenek Pros said: 'Natural breast enlargement using fat grafting, in addition to increasing the size of the breast, has a more natural look and feel.

'In simple terms, the fat transfer procedure collects fat from a part of the body with excessive fat deposits and then places it in another part of the body where it is used for cosmetic and aesthetic purposes.

'This type of augmentation technique is very effective in enabling surgeons to shape the breast and achieve smooth, natural-looking contours.'

However, this wonder surgery doesn't come cheap. Experts predict that the procedure will cost around £8,000 - compared to around £5,000 on average for breast implants. But even at that price many will feel it's worth it to lose unwanted fat and go up one or two cup sizes at the same time.

The technique has been tested in Britain and the US and is expected to be available in the UK by next year.
