Simon Cowell Takes Personal Grooming to the Next Level with Waxing RSS Feeds

Simon Cowell has never been shy about the fact that he considers his appearance to be very important.

With his immaculate hair, dazzlingly white teeth and Botox-smoothed skin, Mr Cowell clearly considers personal grooming to be near the top of his priorities.

However, the X-Factor mogul has now taken his vanity to an even higher level by getting the hair removed from the back of his hands and on his chest.

His antics have come to the attention of spoof photography artist Alison Jackson who, with the help of a Cowell lookalike, has created a series of images of what he might've gone through in order to achieve his new smooth look (pictured).

Rather than opt for laser hair removal - which permanently gets rid of unwanted fuzz - Cowell get's his hands and chest waxed. He admitted as much last year, saying: 'You can't dye chest hair and no one wants to see a grey chest, do they? It had to go!'

This is the latest in a long line of beauty and plastic surgery treatments that Simon has undergone over the years in order to look his best. In 2007, fellow X-Factor judge Louis Walsh told a journalist that Cowell had 'definitely had a boob job' - a reference to the claim that he'd had pectoral chest implants - as well as 'lots of other [cosmetic surgery] work done.' At the time Simon denied this, claiming his defined chest was all down to diet and exercise.

However, Cowell had admitted that he is a fan of Botox. 'I've had Botox,' he declared. 'But then again, pretty much everyone I know has, except Cheryl Cole. I got a shock when she was sitting next to me on the panel and she frowned and her forehead actually wrinkled. I thought, "Whoa! I haven't seen that in a while. A real frown. That's different".

'To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste. It works, you do it once a year - who cares?'
