Figures published by the Hospital Group have revealed that
people living in the West Midlands have had a grand total of 2,046 pints of fat
removed in the past five years.
Second in the poll was London, whose residents have shed 1,725 pints, third is the South West, racking up 1,404 pints, and fourth is the North West, with a measly 788 pints of fat sucked out.
Nationally, Britons have had 9,193 pints of fat removed by liposuction in the past five years.
The figures also revealed that The Hospital Group has carried out liposuction on 438 people within the past year - removing a massive 1,928 pints of fat.
David Ross, Chief Executive for the Hospital Group, said: ''Liposuction and other cosmetic procedures can help people to change their life and feel better about their bodies.
''Our consultants ensure that, as well as having an absolute need for the procedure, the patient understands that surgery isn't a miracle cure and they would need to work to achieve the healthier lifestyle they desire.''
