Model Marie Helvin, famous in the 80s and 90s for
her flawless figure and high cheekbones still continues to look effortlessly elegant,
as she proved earlier this week at the British Heart Foundation ‘Tunnel of Love’
party in central London.
However photographs taken of the former model, now
aged 58, have caused us to wonder if she has been relying on something more
than her natural looks to keep her in top form. Upon close inspection of these
most recent photographs, it appears as if the model may have had some kind of
lip filling procedure done, as her lips appeared puffy and even wonky to the
observer being much more ‘plumped’ on one side. Her publicist from top
modelling agency Models 1 denied any knowledge of Helvin having undergone any
procedure, suggesting merely that the angle of the photo was responsible for lopsided
appearance of the model’s lips.
Helvin has already admitted to using a non-surgical
face lifting device called Slendertone Face that used electrical impulses to
retrain the muscles in the face to restore an appearance of youthfulness.
Retraining the muscles that build the foundation of the face has the effect of
plumping the skin out to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles,
giving a more radiant complexion. Is it possible that Helvin’s plumped/lopsided
lips are a result of her Slendertone therapy, or another procedure gone wrong? Either
way, we hope that in the near future the former model’s face continues to
attract attention for the right reasons, as opposed to speculation over botched
lip filling procedures.
