Dental Veneers
Veneers are used to restore chipped, worn, discoloured or misshapen teeth as well as being very effective in closing spaces between teeth. They are wafer thin laminates or shells of tooth-coloured material (which can be either porcelain, ceramic or composite bonding material) that are ‘cemented' to the front surface of teeth to improve their cosmetic appearance.
Veneers can be used for a wide variety of enhancements from complete smile makeovers to repairing a chipped tooth. The veneers will be individually customised to the exact colour and size you desire.
At your first appointment the front of your teeth are buffed to provide a better surface for bonding and impressions of your teeth will be taken which will be used to create customised veneers. While they are being made you will be fitted with temporary veneers. At the next appointment the veneers are tested to ensure they are the correct size and colour before they are permanently bonded to your teeth with a permanent adhesive.
