Ear Reshaping
Ear reshaping (also called otoplasty, pinnaplasty, ear pinning or ear correction) is usually performed to set prominent ears back closer to the head or reduce the size of overly large ears. The procedure involves removing skin and reshaping the cartilage from behind the ears. The ears are then stitched into the new position with the scarring successfully hidden in the natural crease behind the ear. Most patients are aged between four and fourteen, but it is also carried out on adults.
