Fraxel treatment is a laser treatment that aims to re-juvinate your skin, making it appear fresher and tighter. There are multiple procedures to opt for, depending on what you want to achieve from Fraxel.

The range of treatments vary in aggressiveness, the number of treatments you need and the amount of downtime you will need after the procedure is carried out. Fraxel re:store targets skin with acne and surgical scars, fine lines around the eye, while Fraxel re:fine focuses on skin resurfacing. These procedures are not aggressive, so therefore very little downtime needs to be taken to recover as Fraxel delivers results so quickly.

Fraxel re:pair is a more aggressive treatment for skin more severely damaged; targeting furrows, skin texture and wrinkles.

Fraxel works by a microscopic laser column penetrating into the dermis of your skin to create tiny wounds, expediting your body's remodelling of collagen and elastin which results in the appearance of a tighter and more youthful skin. Because the laser columns only target a fraction of the skin at a time the surrounding tissue is left intact, allowing your body to heal the skin faster than if the whole area was treated at once.
