Cosmetic Surgery Today: Everything You Wanted To Know About Cosmetic Surgery

Scar Revision

The purpose of scar revision is to improve the appearance of unsightly facial/body scars, blemishes and moles. However, it is vital to remember that a scar cannot be completely removed and the aim is to make the scar less conspicuous.

There is a variety of methods; from dermabrasion and chemical peels for superficial scars, through to injections, IPL photorejuvenation or even surgical procedures to revise more complicated scars. The latter is done by removing the existing scar and creating a new finer scar, level with its surrounding tissue.

LYCOGEL

You may have spent a small fortune on expensive make-up, but often you can be suffocating your skin for up to eight or ten hours a day. The key principle of good skin care is to allow the skin to breathe at all times which is crucial in assisting it in its effort to renew and regenerate itself.

Lycogel does just that: it is not mineral make-up and it is not traditional make-up, it is Triple Silica Gel, a completely new, revolutionary and unique technology that has taken the benefits of mineral make-up to a new improved level.

BREATHE
Unlike mineral or traditional make-up, silica gel sits on the skin like a fine mesh that mimics the structure of the skin and allows it to function just as if you weren’t wearing any make-up at all.

HEAL
The breathable silica gel mesh also means that Lycogel can deliver powerful active ingredients, such as anti-oxidants, hyaluronic acid and a potent complex containing the wound healing agent, LYCD, which works to cool the skin, reducing swelling and bruising and takes away stinging, burning and itchy sensations.
Lycogel is safe to use immediately:

  • After fractional laser skin resurfacing, laser skin peels, IPL,Botox and dermal filler injections.
  • Post cosmetic surgery, hair transplant surgery, scar revision, tattoo removal and vascular treatments
  • With acne, eczema, psoriasis and rosacea
  • on scarred or burned skin
  • After chemical & mechanical peels

CONCEAL
Lycogel gives you undetectable, natural looking coverage, even when applied in multiple layers. With ten different shades of foundation plus two concealers, Lycogel feels incredibly ight and silky and can be used as an everyday make-up, on even the most flawless complexions, for those who wish to take advantage of its amazing anti-ageing benefits. Lycogel is transfer resistant so it won’t rub off on your clothes and after resistant which means you can swim with it for up to 90 minutes.

PROTECT
Lycogel also provides non-chemical SPF 30 for UVA/UVB sun protection, proving it is the smart, safe option for daily coverage.

“As one of the leading practitioners today I have a responsibility towards my patients to give them not only the best treatments but also the best aftercare. Lycogel provides me with the long overdue solution whereby my patients can leave the clinic looking gorgeous with no tell-tale signs or any evidence that they have just had a procedure done. It’s the most natural thing in the world for a woman to want to cover up and now with Lycogel they can do it safely and effectively and have the added bonus of enhancing and complimenting the results!”
